This was taken from RangerBoard! Ray went to Comic-Con where he got to meet Monica (Z), Brandon (Jack), Emma (Kira), Bruce (Producer) and even Paul (BULK!!) from PR!

A tidbit of info for anyone who "saw it coming" that Sam was Omega - it wasn't planned at Sam's introduction. It was an afterthought. So you guys can't take credit for deciphering some grand scheme or picking up hints, because there were none. You guys took a lucky guess and it paid off.

I just wanted to pop in to say that Bruce got a chuckle out of this thread. Everything PA is giving him flak for - Space Ranger helmets, Time Force suit, Doggie cloak, etc. All Koichi. The man who no doubt knows PR continuity more than we do.

The Space Ranger helmets were chosen because they were the most non-descript helmets. Doggie's cloak was chosen because it was the only way to hide his identity with that big ol' head of his. As for the Time Force suit - Koichi specifically wanted Sky's dad in the uniform, so we can only speculate what his master plan is behind that one, if any.

Hey Ray, did you ask Bruce what he thought of the whole Omega Ranger identity debacle?

Yeah, and he and Greg are kind of annoyed at the backlash, considering they did what they could with the budget given. Look at it this way - we KNOW that hiring an actor was not an option. So it was bound to be only a guy in a suit. They rolled with it and were creative with it. A cop out would have been going the Phantom Ranger route and just making it someone who's identity we would NEVER know. I don't think anyone wants to go through that again.

The idea of an alien was tossed around (as we saw in the original press release), but I gotta say, I give them props for making it Sam. How often in PR are throwaway characters brought back like this? It definitely surprised me. If you guys are going to give Bruce a hard time over inter-series continuity, at least give him props for the intra-series continuity.
