That BlockBuster "didn't see a future in streaming movies/TV on demand" and passed up the chance to acquire Netflix is bizarre. then take a peek at what they've become This is irony of the good kind, and it's happening now in a new Netflix Original comedy series. This might be the greatest substitute for Superstore, which I really like and was disappointed to see go.

Young people, They have no idea how cool it was to go to Blockbuster on a Friday night and pick out a movie. You just can't understand it unless you live it. There are so many pleasant recollections of a time before technology engulfed the world.

I still have my dad's VHS collection and I still take care of them, rewinding them and rewatching them. One of those tapes are unreturned rental tapes.

You might spend what felt like hours as a kid just wandering up and down the aisles, reading the back of every case to find something you really wanted to watch. Waiting for this comedy series to arrive, and if the irony is too much, I logged into Netflix and Blockbuster in this new series.

YouTube still do movie rentals but it is digitally and not a physical store.

My late husband was a loyal Blockbuster customer. Me? I just didn't like having to return the videos and sometimes getting charged late fees. When Netflix came onto the scent I was so ready for it! Now that I know about streaming, I don't even bother to go out to the movies. I knew when Blockbuster was going to go out of business in my neighborhood. I can't believe anyone would miss the opportunity to get in on Netflix, when it first strarted. But sometimes ... people can't just predict the future.
