Bittorrent Doesn't Like Me Anymore :(

Judge Faiz

I am the law
I left for 4 days to go out of town, and when I came back TVN had released Magi 36 & Galaxy Force 45. So I load up my BT to download them, and instead of connecting all I get is a questionmark of doom (as in "? remaining") and it never seem to connect, eventhough there are buttloads of seeders for each torrent.

My DSL service went all wonky while I was away as well, but that was mostly due to my router needed to be reset.

So I just have NO clue why BT isn't working for me. Anyone have any ideas? Oh..and BT has full access through my firewall as well, so it's not that.

Change the ports on your router and in your BT settings. A lot of ISPs these days are auto-blocking large traffic ports. Recently I noticed my ISP blocked the port I was using for winny, so I changed it and all was well.

How do you do that, exactly? Maybe that'll fix the issues I've been having with BT.

Should be option in your BT client's config. Also if you are behind a router you need to go to the port forwarding section of the router config to forward the ports you designate for BT.

That sucks Brent. I was having the same problem until I had XP reinstalled. Everything's good so far. *crosses fingers* Good luck. I was hating not being able to download anything for weeks.

I try not to give them...but looks like my bro Hariken has a different oppinion!

Well after really screwing the pooch w/ my modem and having to reset the damn thing...BT is working again. Although I haven't hooked up my router (for my roomates connection) yet. So I'll be crossing my fingers that, that will work as well. But first I think I'll download what I missed :169:
