Bishoujo Serebu Panchanne

So has anyone seen this yet? The Tv Tokyo site has a trailer for next week's episode up.

It reminds me of Bishoujo Kamen Powatrin, especially when they showed she was a teenage heroine named Bishoujo Kamen Florence who recieved her powers from a kami. It seems entertaining so far and it doesn't take itself serious.

After seeing the trailer, I'm not convinced it's something I would enjoy watching. Those that have seen the first episode, any comment? What's your impression of the series?

I'm pretty sure it's like a spin-off/sequel of Powatrin. The costume is almost the same.

I think they had the heroine be Bishoujo Kamen Florence instead when she was a teen to avoid any rights issues with Powatrin, since Ishinomori created that. It could also have something to do with the fact Hanashima Yuuko, who played Powatrin, hasn't acted since 1997.

I'm going to check it out, got ep 1 downloading now. The little I've seen and heard seems very interesting indeed. She's like an unlikely hero(ine), my favorite kind.

Well actually, she was a heroine as a teen and is made Panchanne by the same kami who made her Florence. I found the 1st episode entertaining and funny.

Depends what you define as good, if you expect every tokusatsu series to be 'dark', prententiously uptight, full of cgi cartoony effects or tons of wire fu, then Panchanne wont meet that defintion of good, if on the other hand you can enjoy a tokusatsu series that doesn't take itself serious and just has fun, then you might like it.
