BioShock 2 - Game Footage

Gonna sit down and really get into it today (was out of state last week)

I've been hearing some pretty buggy things about the PC version (it is a 2k game after all) hopefully most of the huge issues have been fixed though.

Yeah the PC version has a fair few problems like problems with widescreen and other issues like it freezingup at certain parts.

Which is why I'm thankful for getting games on a console, there's less chance of anything wrong happening.

it looks like the wide screen issue was fixed in the patch, and I have yet to run into an issue w/ freezing.

The only issue I really seem to have is regarding the multiplayer. the netcode for the PC version definitely needs some work.

I had one weird experience on the PC version where I respawned in a Vita Chamber in a room with no door. Other than that no problems.

I rarely do.

YOU'RE DEAD TO ME QUARK!

Aside from that though. I REALLY wish they'd fix what they broke with the multiplayer patch for the PC. The solo campaign itself is great. I managed to pull off Big Brass Balls (an accomplishment in itself considering how much I ALMOST died against the big sisters)

the atmosphere is good, but I especially liked the under water segments. I wish they'd expanded a little more on them though, but it just looked so cool seeing Rapture from the outside.

I haven't even tried out multiplayer yet. To be completely honest, my PC just doesn't handle gaming very well. When it gets all laggy it feels like a chore trying to play, so i'm skipping it for now.
I agree with the underwater stuff, to quote X-play it was all about the 'Oooh, pretty!' It makes me wonder where they'll go with the next game, I don't know what else they can do without getting the 'been there, done that' feeling. Back when that first teaser came out some friends and I speculated they were hinting that Rapture was going to surface and you'd be on land for most of the game. Maybe that's a direction they can go in.

It should totally be a Tropico/SimCity style prequel where you build rapture and strive to make it a thriving economy before the Ryan/Atlus civil war.
