Just got the DVD.
Out of both episodes, I found "Over There" the best and the one with the most potential as a movie...but then it just ended. I'm sorry, Galen should never have five minutes in between the opening and ending acts. He was stealing the whole short anyway. Then we have Sheridan mumbling his way through an assasination attempt. No apparitions of Delenn or Kosh representing his conscience etc, which would have been interesting. The ending was almost sickening. "I'll change the mind of a mass murderer by asking him to be a nine year old's big brother?", I couldnt BELEIVE what I was hearing.
"Centauri in the neighbourhood, lives down stairs and it's understood..."
I suspect the "thirty years" aspect will be resolved in a Crusade story, this is'nt just about B5.
Doctor Who handled the "devil" concept far better in "The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit". And c'mon, Devils are hitchers? JMS ripped THAT out of Doctor Who too (Paul Cornell's comic strip "Fellow Travelers", see if you can read it)
The extras were entertaining, but very shoestring, they couldnt even use footage of Andrew and Biggs as G'Kar and Franklin except for photos. Using G'Kar's voice in the intro though was awesome.
The Lost Tales shouldnt be an anthology, it should concentrate on ONE story as ONE movie. Hopefully JMS realizes what works, and what doesnt. People want the B5 he never told when he could have in season five, they DONT want to see well...season five
