Had he done something small with a more peaceful, low key ending, it wouldn't have been as satisfying as watching the Avatar beat that punk down. Omnipotent villains are a trite cliche. It's a nice change to see him run like a little girl from this pissed off superhero
Everyone pretty much summed it all up. It one of the best American cartoons in a long time.
I thought that they might explain why Azula was so evil. I konw should could have just been born evil and living in the fire nation made her more evil. But she master fire bending and even lightining bending and was super stong. I thought there might be a reason for this.
@GOKU SSJ4- I think Azula's breakdown could have been elongated. They could have forshadowed it a little bit earlier. But they still did a good job.
If it was a DBZ battle, it was a DBZ battle done friggin right because there wasn't 20 episodes of glowing and grunting to pad out the budget. That final battle was paced well, choreography on it was awesome, it hit the right dramatic high points and finished in a way that was totally worthy of what the story had been building to.
Unfortunately, more Spongebob is all you're going to get. Nickelodeon execs (or Viacom execs for that matter) are so friggin' clueless. They cancel good cartoons to keep tired shows like Spongebob going (because, to them, it's the only "popular" cartoon). Just like Rugrats.
The only good new cartoon on Nick, IMHO, is The Mighty B!. I thought it was actually quite good! Meaning: It'll get cancelled, sadly.
There will be more Airbenders, right now Aang is the last, but the creators said his children will have the potential to be Airbenders and given how long the Avatars seem to live it will be a few hundred years until the next Fire Nation Avatar dies, that's enough time to have hundreds of Airbenders, all decended from Aang.
