I just got into this show, and I must admit, I'm kind of obsessed. My Tivo is recording season 2 for me, which rocks, and I plopped down the $50 for the Season One DVDs so that I could watch that, too. It's such an awesome show. I really can't wait for season 3 to premiere.

For Wondercon, my gf, my roomate and I are going to go to a magic shop, buy some tricks like flashpaper and do some bending for the masquerade.

I own the sesaon 1 boxset, got season 2 on my ipod, and buying the season 2 dvds.

I guess I like it.

I'm no hardcore fan, but I'm blown away that what I've seen of it has been nothing short of phenomenal.

I got to meet the roommate of one of the guys behind it once. It was pretty funny cuz he was so blah about it. He was, "...my roommate co-created some tv show.. Avatar..."

And suddenly I perked up to the conversation, "Avatar: The Last Air Bender????"

The guy just shrugged and was like, "Yeah, he makes pretty good money off of it."

My jaw hit the floor and I drilled him with a bunch of questions he really didn't have much desire to have even known in the first place. :anime:

Avatar is not an anime.... (though, in some ways, it should be considered one)

I don't really think so. Initially, it probably was an attempt by Nickelodeon to cash in on the anime craze, but the show has moved away from those roots into something of its own recently.

My brother got me hooked on Avatar with the first season finale.

I then got all the individual DVD volumes,only to find out a week after I got volume 5, that there was a season box set. :redface2:
