Avatar GIF animation

I've upload a .gif format pic as my avatar and though it shows the animation perfectly on my computer, it ends up as a still picture on this site

is there a way around this? i'm kinda new to using .gifs myself

I'm having the same problem as well. It's 516KB and size 94x90

You can:
a) contact the person who made it and ask them to resize it for you, or
b) go into HJU's Art subforum and ask if there's someone there who'd be willing to resize it for you, or
c) if you have Adobe Photoshop (preferably CS3 or higher) or GIMP, you try to just resize it yourself (with help from the tutorials/instructions that you'll find with the Google search that you'll do).
