My friend told me about Reiko/Mikami sensei, it made the final ep. a but lackluster for me. Kinda wish he didnt tell me now lol.

It's been confirmed. There is an OVA prequel coming along with an manga adaption of the OVA too. Also, the spin-off novel, Another: Episode S, and Another 2 are also confirmed aswell. Here are the links for proof:-
Not season 2. Another 2 is not an anime. It's a sequel to the light novel version. But as soon as the story is finished, they'll probably adapt it into anime. And if anything, Another 2 is most likely gonna focus on the next batch of Class 3-3 students. So sorry but there's probably no Koichi or Mei, unless they come back to mentor the new students or something.
As for Another: Episode S, I think it'll probably focus on a previous batch before the 1998 batch that is of importance. I can easily see Episode S either setting in 1973 or 1983.
As for the OVA, I watched the promo for it and it's confirmed to set before the anime and it's about Mei and her twin.
Oh, nevermind then about the season 2.
So the OVA is sets way before the series begins. Probably that's how in episode 1 Koichi encounters Mei in the hospital.
