Yep no Namco vs Capcom. People believed it was going to be this because of how Capcom has shyed (dunno if this is a word) away from Franchise vs Franchise. Things like X-Men vs SF. This will be a first in a long while and yes it does replace the initial rumor. We may get Namco vs Capcom someday but not at this time.

There was Namco x Capcom, but it was a RPG game.
