Animetal Marathon VII Review
First off this is my first review of a CD. Also since there is 43 track I'm only going to review the songs that I like.
Magiranger Animetal- I liked this song very much, I really love the original very much too. The sound of the song was very good considering that the regular version of the Magiranger had alot of orchestra in it. I was surprised what Animetal turned it into.
Dekaranger Animetal- Dekaranger all I can say is that since there was so much guitar on the real version of Dekaranger that it really did not change on this song just imagine a little metal riff going through the whole song on the real Dekaranger version and thats it. I was dissapointed in Eizo Sakamoto (Vocals) because he sounded like that he was to oversinging on this song. He sounded like that this was just a jam session for them.
Midnight Dekaranger Animetal- The only thing that I ever liked about Midnight Dekaranger is the 50's beat to it and I thought that Animetal would have that but more of an 50's meets 80's sound. It sounded like the song but I really didn't feel that 50's beat to it.
Denjiman ending Animetal- For the people who like this song I say that you'll like this cover very much. The sounds on this song are very cool sounding and the vocals sound nice. No oversinging this time.
Battle Fever J ending Animetal- I've always liked this song. I say they were over doing it with guitar riffs except on the intro. Again Eizo sounded very nice especially towards the end with the backround vocals.
Jakq ending Animetal- Again another one that I love...I feel in this song that the guitar and drums were over doing it. The vocals are sounding in pitch to the guitar and drums even though (Like I said) that they were over doing it.
Kamen Rider ending Animetal- This song took me back when I first heard Animetal. This was great if you are big fans of one of their first albums then you will defintly like this song.
Zebraman Animetal- I really liked this song cause how they used the guitar riffs and how Eizo-san used his vocals for when he said Zebra but I felt that he was not giving it much feeling. If you like the real version of this song then you will not be dissapointed.
Spiderman Animetal- Again with Eizo I did not feel he was giving much feeling for this song and it sound more like a practice than anything else.
Machineman Animetal- I loved this song even though Eizo did not take much part in this song with vocals. This song is real sounding metal song again takes me back to when I first heard Animetal. If you're not even a fan of this song you will be after you hear the Animetal version.
Juspion Animetal- I was a tiny bit dissapointed about this song. I like the tempo of this song and Eizo was great during this song but too many guitar riffs going on in this song.
Spielvan Animetal- Great song, a great cover. Not too many guitar riffs just perfect, for another Ichiro song Eizo sung this song very well with his voice.
Metalder Animetal- I really like the real version of this song. The beat and riffs really went together for this song but I feel that vocal could've went a bit further.
Cha-la-head-cha-la Animetal- If you heard the real version then you're not missing anything. Guitar went together with the sound of this song and Eizo did sound like Kagayama so it really didn't impress me like the rest of this album.
I give this Album (Out 1-10) a 9 because even though it sounded like they didn't want to be doing this album I was real impressed with the nice sounding songs like Magiranger, Speilvan, and Metalder. If you're a big Animetal fan like me then you will have to hear these songs. I can't wait until they do more Sentai Themes though.
