quick question, at the lacc anime expo 2011 do they always charge 5 dollars for pictures in the merchant area even if your the one taking it with YOUR camera? sorry this is my first time at ax =_=;

not to my knowledge, the 5 is just for a photo autograp with a photo that they have already ready, like a face shot

They've always charged $5 for a pic with them for the most part. And by convention protocol, it's not AX, but their own policy. $5 for autograph if you bring your own stuff, $5 for a pic with them, and $20 for an autograph if you buy one of their photos. I'm not quite sure if they charge for a photo of them (not with them.) Unless they changed their policy, but this is what happened back in AX 2009, PMC 2, and what I remember reading on the sign at AX 2011.

just got back from AX. It was pretty solid con this year, and me and my gf had good times cosplaying. We even tried Niconico live recording just for sh*ts and giggles.

I believe it, they were nice as hell. Walter Jones was chill as f*ck, and pretty much everyone else was as well.
