Andy Bogard’s Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Trailer Drops! A Striking Evolution in DesignThe wolves are howling again, and Andy Bogard is making sure we hear them loud and clear. SNK has just released the long-awaited trailer for Andy in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, and fans of the franchise are fired up. Initially announced as part of the Season 1 DLC lineup, Andy’s official reveal confirms what many were hoping for—his return brings a dramatic visual overhaul and some explosive new moves. Oh, and if Mai Shiranui has her way? It might also bring wedding bells. Andy Bogard REVEAL Gameplay Trailer Andy Bogard have a new look Let’s get the obvious out of the way: Andy looks good. Gone is the simple white gi and shampoo-commercial hair. In City of the Wolves, Andy steps out in a sleeveless, laced-up tunic over a sleek black base layer, tied with a blue-and-gold obi that screams, “Yes, I’m still a traditional martial artist, but I also read fashion blogs.” His red gauntlets are now upgraded with added detail, and he’s rocking fingerless gloves like it’s EVO 2004. The ponytail? Gone. Instead, we get a shorter, textured hairstyle […]

Not gonna lie, I don’t care much about Andy. He always felt like Terry’s diet version. But Ken and Chun-Li coming to City of the Wolves? That’s what got my attention. Capcom x SNK used to be the dream, and seeing it revived like this is low-key insane. I hope they add more Street Fighter characters next. Also, Andy’s new look is fine—I guess. I liked the old white gi more. This one feels a bit too cosplay-ish. Still, I’ll take free content over overpriced season passes any day.

I’ve been playing SNK games since the Neo Geo days, and I must say this is one of the best Andy redesigns we’ve seen. The outfit finally matches his ninja roots without making him look generic. I was worried they’d make him another anime pretty boy, but they balanced it well. I’m also glad they’re keeping story integration strong. Andy being part of both South Town and Arcade mode helps keep the lore intact. The trailer also reminded me how far SNK has come with their visual effects. The screen flashes and trails on his moves give him a lot more presence. The Mai angle is funny, but honestly, I hope they give her more than just “desperate love interest” this time around.

This made me so happy. Andy has always been my main in Fatal Fury and King of Fighters. I think people forget he’s a strong fighter just because Terry is more famous. His new design is cool. I like that his personality also feels more grown-up. It looks like he trains younger fighters now, which makes sense. The moves in the trailer were so good. I will download him on June 24. And I will probably lose a lot of matches, but I don’t care. I just want to play Andy again.

Okay, listen. People keep joking about Mai chasing Andy for marriage, but I think the real problem is HIM. This woman is loyal, beautiful, strong, and iconic. And Andy? He acts like he’s allergic to affection. You train kids in the Shiranui village, but can’t commit to the heiress of the school? Sir. Anyway, I loved the trailer. Andy’s new look is slick, the palm finisher was savage, and Hokutomaru... well, he’ll live.

The biggest win here is Andy’s hair. That new style finally gives him personality. No more ‘90s anime fluff. His whole outfit has texture now—gauntlets, gloves, tunic—all have good detail. SNK’s art team deserves praise for making these small elements work together. Also, the particle effects on his attacks are just awesome. I know that’s not gameplay-critical, but it makes the character feel alive. Hokutomaru getting cratered was a bit much, but it does show how powerful Andy is. I just wish they showed more of the Chun-Li and Ken content.

From a gameplay standpoint, I’m curious how Andy fits in the current meta. He seems to have kept his fundamentals while gaining better finishers. I noticed his normals look faster and some of the special moves have extra range now. If those changes are real and not just cinematic fluff, he might finally be viable in tournaments again. The light trails are a bit much for visibility, though. I hope they include toggle settings for accessibility. I’m less interested in the love drama, but I respect that SNK keeps these characters consistent over decades.

This was a fun surprise. I always liked Andy, even if he wasn’t as flashy as Terry. His new look is much cooler now. He looks like someone who trains hard and also reads fashion magazines. The trailer made me laugh, especially the part where Hokutomaru just gets slammed like a ragdoll. I think it’s sweet how Mai still chases him, even if he’s not good at expressing feelings. Some people are just slow. I hope he finally realizes what he has before it’s too late. I’m looking forward to the Ken and Chun-Li update too!

Andy better propose to Mai before it’s too late. You don’t want her turning into Chun-Li—still single at 55, still kicking people in the face because no one ever put a ring on it. Mai has been loyal for decades. At this point, if Andy doesn’t marry her soon, she’s going to stop throwing fans and start throwing furniture. SNK should make a special cutscene: “Marriage or Mecha Mai.” Give the man a deadline.

Andy better stop dodging Mai before it's too late—because guess who's single and freshly moisturized? Ken Masters. That man just walked out of a divorce with biceps, money, and emotional availability. If Andy keeps dragging his feet, Mai might realize she can have a man who throws roses and Hadoukens and shows up to dinner. SNK, if you want real tension in the story, make Ken wink at Mai once. That’s it. Andy will propose before the loading screen ends.
