I have good news and bad news!

Let's start with the bad news. The sequel for the Indie mega-hit Among us just got canceled. Among us is a multiplayer social game with 388,000 active players at steam. PuffballsUnited developed this trending game. This surprize hit becomes popular to streamers of a different video platform. Popular YouTubers get plenty of views on their playthroughs of this game. The game had spawned memes that lead to a very active community.

Now for the good news, It is canceled for a good reason! The original game will receive the assets of the canceled sequel instead. The developers did face some challenges because the canceled sequel runs in a different engine. They have to work around and do some tweaking to make it compatible. The game is fun to watch for spectators. Among us is one of the best games to develop a fanbase with aspiring game streamers. The game using 2d graphics makes it more compatible with more computers.

Many games this generation stopped having sequels and have updates instead as long as the community stays active. Minecraft has been around for 11 years. That game is still getting updates and downloadable content. Among us might follow the same direction of regularly updating the game with new features as long as the community is active.

For a low budget game, Among became a huge hit. The game is about a crew of space travelers who are about to take off with their rocket ship. The challenge? There is an impostor that is trying to kill them. The players can either play as a crewmate or an imposter. It is a game of trust and deception. Crewmates must figure out who is the imposter to survive while the Imposter must kill everyone to win.
