Obviously this is going to translate to screen easier than DBE, so I'm not too nervous about it.
How so?

Long running Japanese manga turned into an anime that got/is getting turned into US based movie.. Gee.. Hmm.. what DO they have in common?
Death Note was and always will be brilliant. I have no problem with this. If it's good, awesome. If it sucks.. who cares? Original will always be.
man, I LOVED the Japanese live action movies (but not the anime, that was boring as hell). hope this turns out well.
I figure GT would be a good candidate for the "never happened" award. >_>
GT? What's that?
There ANIMES and there both being made into MOVIES. Were just saying we hope this one doesn't suck like the other.. . . uuuhh . . . yah . . . :rolleyes2:
Death Note is a mystery, psychological/Supernatural type thriller. Dragonball is an action, martial arts fantasy.
Again . . . why are you comparing Death note to Dragon Ball? Despite the length of popularity, and the product being adapted into a different media, they're still 2 completely different shows . . .

You really think I don't see that they both originated from an anime/manga? Come on dude! :eyebrow: I'm talking about genres here. Get with the program. Yah we all hope that it doesn't suck, you can say the same for the Captain America Movie, or the Spiderman movie reboot, but don't go saying, "oh I hope it doesn't suck just like DBE did" Cause Dragonball has nothing to do with Death note at all! See what I'm saying? They're both totally different types of shows!
:redface2: I honestly don't see how anyone can't grasp the point a few of us were getting it.
