Amazon Opposes USPS Saturday mail ending

Why should I stop using email? They're part of my life and will never stop using email. It doesn't make sense if I should stop using email/text/etc? Writing a letter with postage is really waste of my time.

And like I said, I'm in favor of this, because it will save them billion of dollars. We are still in recovering from bad economy that has crippling us for few years now. Can't you see that they're struggling during the bad economy, despite that we're on the road to recovery?

And it won't kills you waiting for the packages on Monday, rather than getting the package on Saturday? It's very short weekends that's being part of our daily life.

Save billions? Ever thought about the people working there every Saturday? Just because you don't have to worry about a mortgage over your head (I hope you know what a mortgage is) or car payments does not make eliminating jobs a great solution.

What the Postal Service needs is more people to use it and increase its economic situation.

That, my friend, I know what Mortgage and car payments. And no, I don't need to pay mortgage payment, because I'm not going to. Not until the economy recovers first. Getting my first apartment already underway now.

I agree with you that the postal service needs more people for its economic situation. Let me tell you, it's not going to be that easy. It will take time to let our economy grows, then we will see more people being hiring and working on different area.

And I don't work during the weekends. Only work during the weekdays.

Well this is pretty shitty for people who really need a new computer or something in a hurry.

How about you stop using email/text/etc...to send messages to friends and family and just send a letter with postage instead? The USPS has been hit hard more from the Internet than anything else. That includes UPS, so why should the USPS close down Saturday mailing, when you should be the one going down to your local Post Office and purchasing stamps where the Postal Service makes the bulk of their money.

I'm not in favor of this, if I saw my package via tracking code arriving in my area on a Friday afternoon would not it not be great to see if arrive at your place the next day as oppose to Monday? Also anyone who ships packages would agree with me that if you can't make it on the weekday hours, Saturday is a saving grace for all of us.

No offense , buy what are you smoking really? Let me outline why people are switching to email :

  1. cost efficiency ( It's free)
  2. Don't have to pay shipping or for overexpensive pieces of otherwise cheap plastic (stamps)
  3. it's environmentally friendly (gets all the paper and cards out of the junkyard put into good use.)
  4. it's much faster to use.
  5. you can customize it unlike a traditional card.

I only hand the cards in person to people and only use it for people i care about the most. The only good use of the postage system for me is buying online items and that's it. When I get to paying my first bills and such , I'm doing so online rather than conventionally because I've seen instances where these so-called holidays are made up to excuse the workers for laziness or off on random ass days which can screw up your bills being sent on time. (Atleast in my town they are , so we go to one in another city.)

They don't need to cut any day fo the week off right now because if you were to send your bill thru the mail with this in practice, it would come to them a day later, which makes the difference between paying a high fee and not . In this dire economic situation , get those troops out and let the Middle East deal with their own problems, even if they kill each other wouldn't be so bad. I would love to see Israel without us .

Main point is ,cut the defense budget and leave the civilian services alone ,even if it means to let the Middle East fall into a hellhole again. We cannot save others if we cannot save ourselves. We should wait for a bit, chill and relax , and strike when we are back on our feet, which can only be accomplished if we start mandating companies to make their products over here rather than in China. We need to be competitive.

How the **** is it annoying?.

I'm sure you aren't expecting bills on a daily basis anyway.

Forever Knight...I have TWO bills to be pay. Just directv and Centurylink (Internet) bills.

Nothing in my situation that can escape from the bills that I have to pay. What make you think that I don't have to worry about anything? I DO have to worry! My internet got cut off recently....SO I has to pay the bills.

Just don't think that I'm ignoring my bills on the purpose.
