I perfer official R2 releases over bootlegs and downloads but they are so expensive. Around $500 for a complete Megaranger collection?! But.. that was when I didn't have a job.. now I do and as soon as I get some other stuff out of the way I plan to go back to buying R2 DVDs.

That's the spirit. That my biggest problem right now (I'm in college). As soon as I get a real full time job, the prices will probably not be as bad.

I would love to be able to afford the R2 originals, but the prices are just crazy. I've been wanting to get the Kamen Rider Original series set for years, but I can't justify or even afford to pay the $800 or so it would cost to get them second hand from Japan. That's almost $50 per disc! Now if it was more like $20 per disc then I might just jump in. Hopefully the price will drop as Blu Ray slowly replaces DVDs, but until then I'm searching for reasonably priced copies. Can anyone help me out? :sweat:

The series was re-released as individual volumes back in 2005, at roughly $30 each (they did the same for V3 late last year.) There's 6~7 episodes a disc, which isn't the ideal format, but considering it's more for four episodes of a newer series (which are running like $50~60), that's theoretically not too bad.
