I'm starting my first customization project today. I thought it would be cool to start a thread to show my progress in making my display of my 6 power morphers show accurate 
.
I hope to give as much detail as possible about how I acquired the necessary parts, stickers and morphers etc in case anyone wants to try this themselves. Here how they look at the moment:
So I've had my 6 Power Morphers for a few years now. The one at the back is my original from back in the day. Its been well played with and the plates are particularly worn.
The other 5 I got from a seller on ebay who had a box full of MISB Power Morpher / Gun Swords he found in an old japanese warehouse! I originally intended to buy one to replace my well worn original but when he said he had 6 left I had to buy 4 more. They cost me about $80 each plus shipping to the UK. It wasn't cheap.
I was tempted to buy another so I had 6 brand new ones but the seller sold out before I had the chance. Then I figured that I could paint my original morpher gold to achieve the 6th morpher look.
I have the regular and "battle damaged" tigerzord and dragonzord coins made by the awesome Buzzs_Room. I'm a huge fan of the season 2 - 3 period hence why the tigerzord coin is in my display. I have the crazy cat coin that came with my tigerzord back in the day but this thread is about all things show accurate.
Once I had all 6 on display it was a beautiful sight to behold as you can see from the pics :007:. But I want to make them show accurate now.
I was loathed to do this at first as they were MISB and the stickers are holding on fairly well considering their age. I also did not want to paint my original as the nostalgic part of me likes that it is worn with my childhood memories.
But then I figured that I don't ever intend to sell them so I do not care if replacing the stickers etc affects their retail value. Even if I let my whole collection go, I would still keep hold of these.
Also, I've found a solution to not wanting to paint my beloved original morpher from 1993. I found out that Jess (powerprops on ebay) makes recasts of the morpher plates painted gold. Can't believe I hadn't thought of this before as now I can replace my play worn morpher plates with gold ones without damaging my childhood memories. Plus I'm 110% certain that Jess's paint job would be better that if I attempted to paint them myself lol. If ever I want to, I can swap the plates back to achieve my old morpher!
So heres my to do list:
1. Apply the show accurate stickers and Zyuranger back stickers from reprolabels.com to each morpher.
2. Attach some of Jess's replacement plates to my original morpher.
3. Hopefully get some ninja coins from Argus to achieve that season 3 / movie look occasionally.
I have already ordered one set of stickers and Jess's morpher plate recasts as I'm going to do the 6th morpher first being the white ranger nut that I am.
I will keep you all posted on my progress and I will do some before and after photos when I'm done.
UPDATE: 05/11/09
My first set of reprolabels arrived today. I bought both the TV Morpher and the Zyuranger Buckler sets. The TV morphers will go on my new gold plates when they arrive shortly. I only bought the Zyuranger set for the back stickers but when I noticed I had two sets of bolts, I decided to use them to replace the bolts on my old plates as they fell off years ago.
Heres the stickers I have not yet used:

The reprolabels.com experience was awesome for me. They were shipped to me in the UK within 7 days, the stickers are excellent and the were packaged in between two pieces of thick card. The bolts in particular are much better than the originals as the glue seems like its going to keep them from peeling so easily.
However, I have one grievance with the zyuranger back stickers. They seem too big for my morpher and it took me quite a bit of fiddling to apply them. As you can see in the picture below, they overlap the plastic molded parts a little. They still look awesome though.

Got my Ninja Coins from Argus this morning and I'm very pleased with them. They really didn't take long to get here at all. Only tool 4 days to get to me in the UK since he confirmed that they had been shipped.
The coins themselves are beautiful. I've wanted to own the falcon coin for years but decided I would get a full set as Argus is not sure if he wishes to continue. Some of them are a slightly tight fit in the morpher (compared to bandai coins) but I actually prefere the more secure fit.
Been looking forward to doing this, all six season 3 morphers! :007: (Still waiting on my gold morpher plates from Jess before I fully customize the morphers / stickers).
Here is all the coins I own. Ninja Coins are by Argus and dragon / tigerzord coins are by Buzzs_Room. I also have 6 sets of the original 5 morpher coins. Next I want to get a dragon buckler coin cast.
Finally, I customised my communicator a bit. I put some balled up tissue paper behind the green felt so that it is pressed against the mesh. Thanks to Red-Space-Ranger for showing me how to open the communicator and for giving me the idea to do this. I think it looks much better.

I have some questions about fixing some of my morphers that I hope someone here can help with.
So first, the Tyrannosaurus morpher in my pictures has some pretty large gaps in the plates when in closed mode. (The others have gaps too but this one is the worst affected). I've seen someone mention on here before about tightening / replacing the springs inside the morpher to prevent it from gaping open when closed. I want to try and fix them before I apply the back stickers (which will cover the screws needed to get inside the morpher).
How should I go about fixing / replacing the springs? Does anyone have any experience in this? Any particular type of springs used?

This next one is probably much harder to fix, the pink ranger morpher broke the first time I pushed the button when removing it from its mint sealed box
. I thought about emailing the seller about replacing it at first but it was his last one. I could hardly blame the seller for it breaking anyways as it is a 17 year old toys thats been sitting in a box in a warehouse for years. Just bad luck I guess. So I decided to use the broken morpher as the Pterodactyl morpher as I figured this would be the one I was least likely to play with lol.
The first time I pressed the button, it did not sound good. Sounded like something had broken inside and was rattling around in there now. Then when I closed it and reopened, it would not open on its own anymore. I can still open it manually though. Inside the morpher, the piece that the spring hooks onto had snapped off. I'll post pics of the insides later on so you can see what I'm talking about.
I have never removed the transparent red plastic piece before as it looks like it might be connected to the electronics. Would it be fixable or is it best to try replacing the part?
Finally, the electronics on some of them do not work straight away. I have to press the button a few times before the lights /sounds kick in and they seem to take a while to "warm up" as they work better each time I press it. The batteries are all brand new. Anyone else experienced this?

, I decided to do them one at a time.
