"Bonopera"(????): The ultimate Ninja, known as "Shinobi above Shinobi" or the Copycat Oniwaban. He's a equal to Mikoto in power, but younger. He can memorize any ability her sees, perfectly, and allow him to use many techniques along with the 5-barreled gun grafted to his arm. He seems nonchalant most of the time, but sometimes gives wise advice to the characters or speaks passionately about his own sense of justice and what ninjas stand for.
---
The Nichibotsugo: A small organization by most standards; at any given point, the group has at most ten-fifteen members and an uncertain number of agents. They are tied to the monsters rampaging the countryside.
* Kon of the Twillight: The mysterious masked man, master of the "Forbidden Ninja Arts". He was the sole man responsible for the massacre of both the Shouten clan and the Otoumei clan, sparing two children and making it seem the two families killed eachother. But Kon, seeing the darkness festering in them, tells them to live hating him and to grow strong enough to avenge their clans.
* Yashagoro: His parents died when he was young, leaving him to fend for himself for much of his life. While under Jirai's tutelage, he recognized Yashagoro's natural talent, but was also aware of a malice and a lust for power within the boy, but chose to pretend not to notice for he hoped he could quell this part of Yashagoro's personality. As Jirai approached retirement, he attempted to teach Yashagoro about the concept that shinobi are only truly strong when protecting others, only to scoffed at these ideas, not caring for the lives of others. Disappointed in his student's viewpoints, Jirai passed his secrets to another of his students, denying Yashagoro the position he coveted. Yashagoro took his live out of anger as Mikoto, who had came to see Yashagoro as a dear friend, tried to stop him and persuade him to return, though Yashagoro refused and turned his back to Yeddo forever, acquiring a hate for his former home and joining the Nichibotsugo.
** He uses the Kusanagi katana and the snake-sword Murakumo, which resembles a machete that whips out several linking blades twisting and turning in unpredictable ways.
* Izonade: A master of "Water Ninja Arts" and the blade, possesing a distinctive shark-like appearance. He has displayed astonishing speed and incredible physical strength. He is somewhat overconfident in battle, prideful of his blade and clearly enjoys fighting.
* Jorokumo: A master of "Shadow Ninja Arts". She is a excellent tactical analyst, preying on the weak-points and fears of her enemies before she kills them out of loving to see them struggle.
* "Man of the Crimson Sands": A master of "Fire Ninja Arts" and possesses a sixth sense.
