Cyberpunk 2077 had a rough start as a video game, but we’re told it’s a bit more respected now than it was on launch thanks to repeated patches and updates. It wasn’t a game CD Projekt Red could go back on anyway, having put all their eggs in that basket. It’s fared better on television with an anime based on the game, Cyberpunk Edgerunners, becoming a Netflix hit.

I'm genuinely excited to hear about this live-action Cyberpunk 2077 series in development! Yeah, the game had a rocky start, but it's great to see CD Projekt Red still invested in expanding the Cyberpunk universe. I'm curious about the plot, though, since they've got a blank canvas here. Maybe they'll delve deeper into the lore from the original tabletop RPG, giving fans a chance to explore the roots of the Cyberpunk world. Either way, this is exciting news, and I can't wait to see how it turns out!

Huh, interesting move by CD Projekt Red. The anime did well, so I guess they're banking on the TV series too. I'll watch it, but I hope they address the game's initial problems in a different way.

Cyberpunk 2077's release was a real letdown because of all those bugs. It's frustrating that they didn't prioritize a smoother launch. Even though the game has improved, I can't help but remain pretty upset about how buggy it was on release. It left a sour taste, and I hope they've learned their lesson for the future. But hey, at least they're trying to expand the Cyberpunk universe with these adaptations, so there's potential for redemption.

Is the live-action adaptation going to feature the same level of explicit content, like the sex and violence, as we've seen in the video game and its anime counterpart?

CD Projekt expanding the Cyberpunk 2077 universe into live-action is an ambitious move. The involvement of Anonymous Content, known for their impressive work on series like True Detective and films like The Revenant, adds a lot of weight to this project. It's intriguing to think about the potential of a new story within the Cyberpunk 2077 world. I'm curious about the screenwriter they'll bring on board for this.

It's great to see CD Projekt continuing to invest in the Cyberpunk 2077 franchise. The success of the Netflix animated spin-off was impressive, and now, they're venturing into Hollywood territory with this live-action project. With the talent they've got on board, including David Levine, who's known for his work on series like True Detective and Game of Thrones, this project has a lot of potential. The fact that Cyberpunk 2077 is still selling well is a testament to its enduring popularity.

I'm glad to hear that Cyberpunk 2077 is still doing well in terms of sales, and the expansion "Phantom Liberty" seems to have been well-received. It's also interesting that CD Projekt is planning a management shakeup for the future. Changes can sometimes bring fresh perspectives to a company.

I'm a huge fan of the Cyberpunk 2077 universe, and this news about the live-action project is genuinely exciting. The involvement of Anonymous Content, with their stellar track record, is a good sign that they're aiming high. I can't help but wonder what kind of story they'll tell within this futuristic world. The success of the animated spin-off and the continued popularity of the game are clear indicators of the love fans have for Cyberpunk 2077. Let's hope this live-action adaptation lives up to the hype!
