If you didn’t know, most video game consoles from the 80s and 90s are still getting new games added to their library every month — just not “officially.” There’s a thriving indie development community centered around the NES, Game Boy, Genesis, and the 90s’ final gift, the Dreamcast.

Hey everyone, gather 'round! Can we just take a moment to appreciate the pure magic that's happening here? Ploid and Reknum, bringing back the golden age of gaming to the Dreamcast? My heart can barely contain the excitement!

New games for the Dreamcast? In 2023? Are we in some sort of gaming twilight zone? I can't help but scratch my head at this one.I mean, let's talk facts. The Dreamcast? It's not exactly the poster child for a successful console launch. SEGA practically sounded the console death knell when they called it quits. Sure, there's nostalgia attached, and I get that. But is there really a sizeable audience out there clamoring for new Dreamcast games? I highly doubt it.

Whoa, wait a minute! A new Dreamcast game in 2023? That's seriously mind-boggling! I mean, I remember when the Dreamcast was all the rage, and now my nephew, who was basically a baby when it came out, is a college professor? Talk about feeling like I'm in a time warp. It's kind of hard to wrap my head around the idea of my old gaming console making a comeback when we're in the era of virtual reality and ultra-realistic graphics.

Releasing new Dreamcast games in 2023? From where I'm standing, it's like watching money go down the drain.Don't get me wrong, there's a place for nostalgia, and I'm sure a handful of diehard fans might jump on board. But let's consider the reality here. Releasing these games on the Dreamcast? It's like throwing them into a time capsule and hoping for the best.If these developers were after profits, they should have set their sights on a platform like Steam.
