2014 FIFA World Cup

Okay, so I haven't been keeping up with the players, but I'm surprised the US (which people were saying at the start was in the "group of death"), outlasted both Japan and South Korea. Even Jurgen Klinsmann said his squad had no chance.

Is the US really a good team (and the US media unnecessarily making them out to be the underdogs), or did they just end up really lucky?

In fact, the USA is definitely underrated in football, or rather, soccer in US context. They really do have a better team than England... the only problem is that the USA isn't considered by many to be a traditional world footballing powerhouse due to the country's culture.

It would be surprising if the USA won and showed them up, to be honest.

I can see real Football become very popular in the States as people become more disillusioned with Grid Iron as a sport.

James Rodriguez made "history" as the leading score goaler and rightfully so, Colombia eliminates Luis Suarez-less Uruguay and will be facing Brazil for quarterfinals.
