The thirty-second teaser probably doesn't show much, but it's a smart move to keep the anticipation high, right? Dune is such a visually rich universe, and even a quick glimpse can get fans talking. I'm really curious to see how they'll tackle the conclusion of the story, especially with Paul's character arc.

The previous films have had incredible production value, so I hope they continue that trend! What do you think they'll focus on in this next installment? Will we see more of the action, like the epic battles from the books?

Wow honestly the way Paul just flipped after seeing the future still bugs me. one minute he wants to stop the bad future, next minute he is walking straight into it. that is not really how character change should work in a story. usually you build up the reasons slowly so we understand it. here it just feels like the writer needed him to become emperor so they made him do it. Zendaya sitting there while he marries someone else for political reasons is rough to watch too. I still want to see the movie because the visuals are always amazing in these films, but I am not expecting to like Paul anymore. maybe that is the point though, maybe we are supposed to stop rooting for him and start watching him as a warning instead of a hero.

I read the books years ago so I can say this without spoiling much, the whole point is Paul is not supposed to be a clean hero by part two. He warns people early that following him leads to bad things and everyone ignores that warning because they want a savior. The movie is finally showing what the books were always about, power corrupting even someone with good intentions. Comparing him to Eren is not fair, Paul is more about fate and control while Eren is about revenge and freedom. Different themes completely. If you want a straightforward hero movie this franchise was never going to give you one, that was always the trap Herbert set for readers who wanted a chosen one story.

Villeneuve keeps saying the right things in interviews about power and cycles of violence, and honestly I trust him more than most directors to actually show it instead of just talking about it. His first two Dune films were paced so carefully, nothing felt rushed even in the slow parts. If this one is more action heavy like he says, I am curious how he balances that with the political tension he built up. Anya Taylor-Joy as Alia should be interesting too since her character has a strange role in the story. I am not worried about Paul becoming unlikeable, some of the best films have leads you are not supposed to fully support. That tension might make part three the most memorable one.
