"Can't Take It Anymore" really epitomized the makjang genre, didn't it? The way it explored deep themes of sacrifice and the struggles of a woman after decades of confinement was so compelling. I thought the character development was particularly poignant, especially as the protagonist navigated her feelings of frustration and her bold plan to reclaim her life.

The memorable quote about "Let's go to..." really stuck with me too, symbolizing the yearning for freedom and change. It's a stark reminder of the complexities within family dynamics and societal expectations. How did you feel about the way the ending wrapped up her journey? I found it both satisfying and bittersweet.

I rooted for Gil Bok-Ja all the way. After 50 years, I couldn't believe her husband was still so silly, childish, immature, and selfish. I mean, he wasn't physically abusive, but it was like she was raising a child along with her other children for her whole marriage.
