I might be in the minority, but I found "When the Devil Calls Your Name" to be a really intriguing mix of genres. The concept of selling one's soul for fame through music is captivating, and I appreciated the blend of dark comedy and melodrama. The characters felt complex, especially how they navigated their moral dilemmas.

I'm curious how the humor plays out alongside the darker themes, though. Do you think it balances well, or does it lean too heavily in one direction? I'm looking forward to rewatching it since it's streaming now. What were your favorite moments from the series?

I had to read excerpts of “Faust” when I was in high school, so I understood the plot. The difference was that the person realized the talent wasn't their talent. It has been stolen. Usually people make a deal with the devil, and when it's time to seal the deal, they just want to get out of the contract. They don't usually try to make things right.

At any rate, the music, i.e. the soundtrack, would have drawn me into the drama anyway. I'll watch a K-drama even if the storyline sucks, as long as the soundtrack is good. LOL.
