Ready or Not 2: Here I Come Brings Grace Back Into the Deadly Game A Bloody Day Later It’s been five years since Ready or Not terrified audiences with its lethal wedding night, yet in Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, the story picks up literally a day after the first movie. Grace (Samara Weaving) is still recovering from surviving the murderous Le Domas family ritual, but somehow she looks just as sharp and youthful as ever. Clearly, she skipped the Hollywood buccal fat removal trend that so many actresses seem obsessed with these days—lucky for us, she remains instantly recognizable. The sequel is set to hit theaters on April 26, 2026, so buckle up for another wild ride. Revisiting the Original Chaos For those who need a quick refresher: in the first Ready or Not, Grace married Alex Le Domas and unknowingly drew the “Hide-and-Seek” card from a cursed family game box. Immediately, her wedding night transformed into a full-blown survival nightmare, with the entire family attempting to kill her to honor a Faustian pact with the mysterious Le Bail. By sunrise, Grace survived, the mansion burned to the ground, and she walked away smoking a cigarette, looking […]

I'm so excited that Sarah Michelle Gellar is playing an antagonist in this movie. She looks badass. She's still got it. And she actually looks intimidating being evil.

The first movie stuck with me because it was both funny and scary, which is not easy to do. Now with Grace older and stronger, I hope they explore her trauma more instead of only going for action. I’m also excited for the traps and new families because that’s what made the first movie clever. I think this could go beyond a normal horror sequel if they keep balancing suspense with humor.

The trailers already make it clear this is going to be chaotic in the best way. I love horror when it’s intense but also has smart characters, and Grace being a “ruler-hunter” sounds like it will be satisfying. I also like that the writers are coming from an interactive movie background—it explains why the sequences look inventive. I expect there will be clever setups that are more than just random jump scares.

I’ve been a huge fan of the first movie, and I can’t help feeling a mix of excitement and worry about this sequel. The trailer makes it seem like the same story all over again, just with a few new faces. I like Samara Weaving a lot, and having Kathryn Newton join her is definitely a plus, but I hope the story doesn’t become predictable. I’m okay with familiar elements if they bring fresh twists, but the trailer doesn’t show much of that. Still, the cast is impressive, and I really want to see how the next level of the game plays out. I’m holding out hope that there are surprises they didn’t reveal yet

The first film had a simple premise but was entertaining because of the execution. The sequel might follow the same idea, but the stakes seem bigger now, with multiple families and the Council to consider. I’m looking forward to seeing how Grace handles this new level. Samara Weaving is one of the best horror leads right now, and adding Kathryn Newton is a smart choice. I think this could be fun even if it’s similar to the first one.

Maybe the directors are setting up the audience to expect the same story, then suddenly flipping it in the second half. For example, what if the other families are not just hunting Grace but also secretly plotting against each other? I imagine a part where the families start fighting each other instead of focusing on Grace and her sister. That would add chaos and make the sequel feel bigger without changing the basic premise.

My guess is that the movie will have an unexpected alliance. Grace and her sister might have to team up with one of the hunting families to survive. That would be a smart twist because it would turn enemies into temporary friends. The trailer doesn’t hint at that, but the description says four rival families are hunting for the throne. I can imagine one of the families deciding it’s better to work with Grace instead of dying first. That could make the story more complicated and fun.

I think maybe the trailer is hiding a bigger twist. What if Grace’s sister isn’t entirely on her side? Maybe Kathryn Newton’s character has her own agenda and could betray Grace at some point. That would make the movie feel fresh even if the hunting rich people setup is the same. Also, with multiple families now, I wonder if there will be some alliances or rivalries that turn the tables. I’m imagining a scene where Grace has to trick both her enemies and her sister to survive. That could be very tense, and it might explain why the trailer didn’t show much.

I like the idea of this sequel, but the trailer makes me cautious. Horror-comedies work best when they’re unpredictable, and right now, it looks like the filmmakers are just reusing the first movie’s formula. The cast is definitely interesting, and I’m curious to see how Sarah Michelle Gellar and David Cronenberg contribute. If the plot surprises me, I’ll enjoy it, but at this point, I’m not convinced it will feel different enough to be exciting.
