Kevin Feige said he wanted to pull back on the number of Marvel shows produced for Disney+, but you wouldn’t know it from the schedule released today! Marvel Television’s panel at NYCC revealed five separate programs the studio intends to release in the coming year. January 27, 2026 — Wonder Man So it’s come to this. The first trailer for Marvel’s Wonder Man was revealed today and…it’s a TV show set in Hollywood about making a reboot of a Wonder Man movie that came out in the early 80s. This means Wonder Man doesn’t actually exist in the MCU, and it also means Marvel feels the public won’t accept one more live-action TV show about a superhero — which given the results of similar Disney+ shows would seem to be the case. You have to wonder if this started as a straight adaption, and then got changed when Feige felt nervous about its chances, and said “You know, I was just watching this funny new show called The Studio…” March 2026 — Daredevil: Born Again Season Two Jessica Jones is to appear in this season, with Krysten Ritter reprising her role Is it too much to ask that this series […]

I am honestly curious about Wonder Man. Setting it in Hollywood instead of the MCU is an interesting choice. It might actually work better as a satire of movie culture than a superhero story. I am hoping the writing will focus on humor and character rather than trying to squeeze in too many references to other Marvel content. The approach seems risky, but sometimes risk can lead to unique stories. I just hope the show gives a fresh take rather than rehashing old jokes about the MCU.

Daredevil: Born Again returning with Jessica Jones is exciting, but I am worried about the pacing. The first season’s storylines felt rushed at times, and introducing old Netflix characters might overload the plot. Trish’s original storyline was disappointing, so I really hope they fix her character development this time. It would be nice to see more grounded crime-solving elements rather than relying solely on action sequences.

Waiting two years for X-Men 97 season 2 feels unnecessary. Animation production can be fast, and Marvel could have scheduled it sooner. I understand they might want to stagger content, but fans are hungry for continuity and the story with Apocalypse is compelling. I am hoping the new season expands on the character arcs more instead of just repeating past plot points. If done well, it can still be one of the strongest animated Marvel series.

Vision Quest being the last part of the WandaVision series is both exciting and frustrating. Without Elizabeth Olsen, I am skeptical about how much depth the show can have. I am hoping they focus on exploring Agatha’s world and provide closure in a meaningful way. If it is just an extension without substance, it may feel empty. Still, I am curious to see how they tie up the “trilogy” visually and thematically.

I am surprised by how many Marvel shows are scheduled for 2026 despite Kevin Feige’s comment about slowing down production. It feels like the studio is confident in their Disney+ platform. Personally, I think they could have spaced things out more to avoid viewer fatigue. But each show has its own tone, so maybe the diversity will keep the audience interested. I am especially looking forward to Wonder Man because it seems the most different from the usual superhero formula.

Vision Quest without Wanda seems like a missed opportunity. I think the series should focus on exploring Agatha’s perspective and maybe introduce new characters tied to magic in the MCU. Without Wanda, it risks feeling disconnected from the previous shows. I am hoping it still manages to feel connected and satisfying, perhaps with strong storytelling and clever visuals. Otherwise, it could just be a minor filler in the larger MCU.

I think Wonder Man could be a clever experiment. By framing it as a show about making a movie rather than focusing on superhero battles, Marvel might be exploring satire and industry commentary. It could appeal to viewers who are tired of standard superhero plots. I am interested in how they balance humor with character moments. If the writing is sharp, it might become a standout among Marvel’s television offerings.

Revisiting Daredevil and the Netflix characters could strengthen the MCU’s television universe. I hope they respect the original tones of these shows while updating them for a broader audience. Trish needs a better arc, and Jessica Jones should feel integrated rather than just a guest. If done well, it could restore credibility to this corner of the MCU.
