I grew up with arcades in the late 80s, and Toaplan was one of the names I always saw on the machines. For me, this collection is not just a set of old games, it is like a memory book. Tiger-Heli and Twin Cobra were the first shooters I ever played, and now I can share them with my kids without needing tokens. The save states and rewind features are very useful because, to be honest, I no longer have the fast reflexes I had when I was a teenager. I think this release is a respectful way to keep history alive while making it playable for today’s audience.

My perspective is more technical. The emulation quality here is excellent. I tested on both PS5 and Series X, and there were no dropped frames or audio issues. The CRT filters are convincing, and I appreciated the inclusion of Japanese and overseas versions. This shows care in preservation, not just quick porting.
