Last October, the animation studio Titmouse surprised everyone with a venture into the tabletop gaming market – and not just that, but a truly crazy offering no one had tried before. Titmouse presents Drunkards, Druggies & Delinquents.– a TTRPG for adults 21 and over where the penalty for taking damage is to take a drink. The project was crowdfunded last fall; it becomes open to the public this week. The story goes that Titmouse has its own internal tabletop game room and this project came about initially from just goofing around. Ah, Drunkards, Druggies & Delinquents, a tabletop RPG for the wild at heart! Titmouse really knows how to bring the party to the gaming table. I love that they embraced the chaos and created a game centered around laughter and mayhem. The concept of taking a drink as a penalty for damage sounds like a fun twist for a game night with friends.

It's awesome to see how this project evolved from some casual goofing around in the company's game room into a full-fledged, wild gaming experience. With contributors like Chris Prynoski, Pendleton Ward, and other talented artists on board, you know the art is going to be top-notch.

I have a feeling Drunkards, Druggies & Delinquents will be a hit at parties and game nights, it's all about making those memorable (and maybe a bit fuzzy) moments with friends. And hey, embracing the ridiculous is what tabletop RPGs are all about, right? I can't wait to hear more about the gameplay mechanics and how the drinking penalties affect the story. I find this idea interesting. I don’t think it’s trying to be a balanced or serious roleplaying system, and that’s okay. Not every game needs to be like D&D or Pathfinder. What this game seems to offer is a chaotic social experience with an artistic vibe. I can see this working well at parties where people are already familiar with each other and want to do something different than just drinking or playing cards.

The fact that so many great artists were involved tells me that at least the presentation will be high-quality. I recognize names like Pendleton Ward and Phil Bourassa from shows I admire, so I know the visuals will probably be creative and fun. The game might not be for everyone, and I’d never recommend mixing alcohol and roleplay in all situations. But if everyone at the table agrees to it and plays responsibly, it might create a very unique experience.

I’d like to see how flexible the system is. Can it still be fun without drinking? The inclusion of dares and jokes makes me think yes. Overall, I don’t think it’s just a silly gimmick. It’s a party game first, and for that purpose, it seems well thought out. I wouldn’t play this often, but I’d try it once or twice just for the art and laughs.

This is exactly the kind of weird energy I love. A Witch who thinks it’s her birthday? Magic Edibles of Doubt? That’s hilarious. I don’t even care if it’s balanced. I want to sit down with my friends, roll some dice, and see what nonsense we create.


I’ve always loved the chaotic art style of Titmouse projects. Seeing names like Christy Karacas and SKINNER attached makes me even more excited. This game sounds like it was made by people who actually want others to have a good time, not just follow rules.


Also, the House Chaos rules? That sounds like a great way to make each session feel unique. I’m definitely preordering it. I won’t even wait for reviews.

I’m not into tabletop games that much, but this looks fun. I like the idea that you don’t need to know a lot of rules. It seems like it’s more about telling stories and being silly with friends. I don’t drink much, but since they say you can replace the drinking with dares or jokes, that works for me. The characters sound wild. I’d probably choose the Dwarven Hypeman just for laughs. I think the art will be great. Titmouse always does crazy animation. So I’d try this once, maybe at a party or weekend with friends. It looks fun for people who don’t take games too seriously.
