Back in Mega Man’s golden age, when the Blue Bomber starred in a new video game almost every week, there were…NO comic books about him. There was a TV cartoon, there were figures and toys, but no comics. It took until the early 2010s for someone to rectify that…Archie decided to complement its Sonic lineup with a new book about another classic video game character. Despite taking so long to show up, their Mega Man comic lasted quite a while and even featured a team-up with the Sonic characters. If you missed this book…it’s coming back! UDON Entertainment has announced the imminent arrival of MEGA MAN ADVENTURES…a series of oversized hardcover collections reprinting the Archie series. You can put it next to your reprints of Archie’s TMNT comics! These won’t be JUST reprints either…UDON says “each volume will include a brand-new short story set in this classic universe, produced by creators that worked on these original stories!” Ain’t that cool? This is so exciting! I’ve been a huge fan of Mega Man since the NES days, and it’s great to see him making a comeback in the comics. The Archie series was fun, but I’m curious to see how UDON will expand the story. The new stories in the reprints sound like a cool addition!

I’m really happy to see Mega Man get more love in the comic world. The Archie series was a pleasant surprise back in the day. The fact that UDON is making their own Mega Man comic means we’re about to get even more cool content. If only we could get a crossover with Sonic again, though!

I think it’s awesome that UDON is bringing back the Mega Man comic. The Archie version had such a strong fanbase, and it’s nice that we get to relive those stories with some new content. Hopefully, this series can pick up where Archie left off and bring in some new readers too!
