While we wait for Critical Role to cook up its next giant campaign, they have several mini-adventures planned to pass the time. The latest is Wildemount Wildlings, an actual play series with a most unusual premise: summer camp. Seems Mighty Nein’s Beau and Yasha, played by Marisha Ray and Ashley Johnson, have become camp counselors and are now guiding a rambunctious group of teens played by Eden Riegel, Aleks Le, Brennan Lee Mulligan, and Libe Barer. All seems normal until staff members begin vanishing. What’s going on and can our team solve the mystery before they become the next victims? […]

A shorter campaign is a good idea! Although I like playing Critical Role, I don't always have the time to follow the lengthy storylines. I feel like I can take this up quickly, enjoy it, and not feel like I have to do any homework beforehand. In addition, the cast's diversity is intriguing. Without a doubt, I'll pay attention and see where it goes!

This is fascinating from a gaming standpoint. Running a tabletop game with the framework and concepts of a summer camp movie presents a unique challenge, and I'm looking forward to seeing how Sam approaches it. Will we have mechanics for camp activities? Are there any unique restrictions for pranks and hijinks? I hope they focus on making the setting feel involved rather than just a background. This may be a fun storytelling exercise, and I'm on boar

Let’s be real—this is going to be a disaster in the funniest way possible. Sam Riegel running a group of rowdy teens through a summer camp mystery? There is no way this doesn’t turn into complete chaos. I expect bad decisions, terrible plans, and someone getting eaten by a lake monster. That’s the kind of content I’m here for.

Brennan is in this? Sold. That man is a storytelling genius, and his improv skills are ridiculous. Whether it’s comedy, drama, or outright madness, he always brings something special. I don’t even care what the plot is—I just want to see him interact with the other players and turn every scene into a masterpiece.

I love how Critical Role keeps finding ways to experiment with their format. First, it was Exandria Unlimited, then Candela Obscura, and now this. It’s great to see them taking creative risks while still keeping everything connected to their world. Also, I can’t wait to see Beau and Yasha in these roles—they’ve come so far, and now they’re camp counselors? That’s a character arc I didn’t expect but totally want to see.
