Powerwash Simulator Wallace & Gromit Pack Available Now

PowerWash Simulator is one of the more unexpected hits in Square Enix’s library; a company more known for fantasy RPGs wouldn’t expect to find revenue in a game about spraying dirty buildings with a hose, but that’s what happened. And Square has kept the base game alive with DLC packs, usually about the game’s team of full-suited cleaners visiting the worlds of another property. The PowerWashers have been to Bikini Bottom, Shrek’s swamp and Lara Croft’s mansion. Now they’re headed to Merry Olde England (for the second time, counting Lara’s house) to do some scrubbing in Wallace and Gromit’s neighborhood. Apparently their most recent adventure resulted in both the exterior and interior of their entire house being covered in pitch-black mud. Wallace has a helpful new invention called the Wash Lad he claims will make the job go “smoother”…and, well, by this point you’d expect to be wary of such claims. But this time, the Wsh Lad fully works with no side effects like evil sentience (for once). You’ll start with W&G’s house, then move on to other locales that, yes, include the moon. “Enter the wonderful world of Wallace & Gromit in PowerWash Simulator’s next big adventure – coming soon!” says Square’s description. “Fire up WASH LAD, Wallace’s latest quirky contraption, and commence the most cracking of clean-ups. The patent may be pending but Project Scrub Down can’t wait!” PowerWash Simulator’s Wallace & Gromit Pack is available now on all systems the game can be played on. The latest W&G movie, Vengeance Most Fowl, was released on Netflix in January.

PowerWash Simulator has been killing it with these DLCs, and Wallace & Gromit is a perfect fit. I can already imagine the satisfying feeling of blasting all that mud off their house. And cleaning the moon? That’s just hilarious. I love that they even included one of Wallace’s inventions, and for once, it actually works! Definitely grabbing this pack.

I don’t get the hype around this game. It’s literally just washing things. Sure, the crossovers are fun, but does it really add much gameplay-wise? I guess if you’re a big Wallace & Gromit fan, this could be appealing, but personally, I’d rather play something with more depth.

I can already picture Wallace hyping up the Wash Lad and then immediately making things worse. “No need for manual labor, lad! This’ll do the job in half the time!” immediate disaster They missed a golden opportunity if they didn’t animate some sort of hilarious malfunction happening in the background.
