Crunchyroll Lands North American Rights To “KIZUMONOGATARI -Koyomi Vamp-”

Crunchyroll’s latest theatrical acquisition is an obscure one. If any of you know what KIZUMONOGATARI -Koyomi Vamp- is, you’ll get the chance to see it on the big screen later this summer…but you’ll have to be quick. The release is only for one day. There was a trilogy of movies released in 2016 and 2017 under this name, but this is a re-edit that combines those three into one picture. For the uninitiated, probably most of you, KIZUMONOGATARI -Koyomi Vamp- is about a high school student named Koyomi Araragi, who one day discovers a lady vampire with a mouthful of a name: “Kiss-shot Acerola-orion Heart-under-blade.” He survives the encounter, but loses his heart — the pair fall in love. It was one fateful evening when Koyomi Araragi encountered her – Kiss-shot Acerola-orion Heart-under-blade: Legendary Vampire, Killer of Apparitions, and King of Apparitions. Her legs and arms were cruelly torn apart, her extravagant dress soaked in red; she’s a monster who finds herself in a tragic state, lying in a pool

Crunchyroll getting into theatrical releases? Interesting move. Hopefully, this "KIZUMONOGATARI -Koyomi Vamp-" showing is a success. Maybe they'll bring more anime movies to theaters in the future!
