This is one we’ve been waiting for a long time….Square Enix’s Visions of Mana is the first original title in the Mana series to be released in over a decade. There’s a lot riding on it (pleeeease be good) and Square just admitted we’ll be getting it in our hands before the summer ends. The action combat system, which differentiated Mana from other RPGs when it first came out, has been refined with an “aerial combat system” that will allow players to attack from the air. If you jump up and then press the attack button, the action freezes while your attack streaks toward its target, much like shooting an arrow in Breath of the Wild. One of the best elements of the Mana series has been its music, and to make sure they get it right, Square has commissioned a whopping HUNDRED tracks for Visions. Many of the composers worked on previous Mana titles, including Hiroki Kikuta, Tsuyoshi Sekito and Ryo Yamazaki. The game will feature a dynamic music

OMG! Visions of Mana finally has a release date! I've been waiting forever for a new Mana game, and this aerial combat system sounds awesome. A whole new soundtrack with familiar composers? S

A new Mana game? Hold on, let me grab my nostalgia goggles. It's been a long time since the last one, and while the action combat update sounds interesting, I hope they don't stray too far from the classic Mana formula. A dynamic music system is always a plus, especially with those legendary composers on board. Five party members is a bit overwhelming though – three was always such a good balance.

$200 for a Collector's Edition? Yikes. I love Mana, but that's a bit steep for a plushie and an art book. I'll stick with the digital download, thanks. Here's hoping Visions of Mana lives up to the hype! It's definitely a day-one purchase for me

The lack of a physical PS4 version in North America is a bit disappointing, especially for a series known for its charming visuals. Hopefully, the digital download is optimized well for the console. No word on a Switch version is a bummer too, but maybe they're saving it for the Switch 2. A Mana game on the go would be fantastic!

The aerial combat system is an intriguing addition to the Mana series. It sounds like it could add a new layer of strategy to battles, especially if it allows for more aerial enemy types as well. The dynamic music system is also a nice touch, and with those composers involved, the soundtrack is sure to be a highlight. Having five party members to choose from opens up a lot of potential team compositions, but it could also make character development feel less focused. I wonder if there will be a way to swap party members on the fly, or if you'll be locked into a three-person team for each area.

Five party members? Challenge accepted! I can't wait to experiment with all the different team combinations and see which ones work best. Plus, a hundred new music tracks? This is a Mana fan's dream come true. I'll definitely be pre-ordering the digital version and putting in countless hours to unlock everything. August 29th can't come soon enough!

New Mana game for under $60? Sold! I'll skip the fancy Collector's Edition, but the aerial combat and dynamic music sound interesting. Hopefully, the lack of a physical PS4 version in America won't affect the download size too much. Can't wait to dive back into the Mana world and explore with a new cast of characters!

$200 Collector's Edition? Take my money! A Mana plushie and a complete soundtrack? Yes, please! I pre-ordered the game as soon as I saw the news. This is a day-one purchase for sure. Can't wait to relive the Mana magic with a brand new adventure!
