In just a few days Read Only Memories: NEURODIVER, the sequel to the hit indie game 2064: Read Only Memories, will be released…but if you want to hear what it sounds like TODAY, it’s an option. The game’s soundtrack has been officially released ahead of the game itself. You may have noticed a lot of games from the early 90s had this crunchy, grungy chiptune sound, most notably on the Genesis…this is due to the FM synth chip that was included in some systems. This Read Only Memories sequel sounds awesome! And the fact that the soundtrack is already available is a great touch. Those FM synth vibes are pure nostalgia. Reminds me of all the great point-and-click adventures I used to play on my Sega Genesis.
