If you’ve been thinking about getting into Alien: The Roleplaying Game, today would be an opportune day to pull the trigger: Free League has slashed the prices of the Alien RPG and all its expansions in honor of today being April 26, aka “Alien Day.” First released in 2019, ALIEN: The Roleplaying Game is set in a time frame shortly after the events of Aliens. The game promises to “propel players into the vast possibilities of the Outer Rim Frontier. Alien RPG, huh? Never played it, but I love the movies. Is it super complex? I'm not a veteran roleplayer. The Starter Set sounds like a good entry point, maybe I can find some beginner guides online. Space horror with friends? That could be a blast..

Price drop on Alien RPG? Let's see what kind of character builds this system allows. Colonial Marines with flamethrowers, obviously. Gotta optimize for maximum Xenomorph takedown efficiency. Maybe some tech-savvy Weyland-Yutani scientist for a different angle. This could be a fun rules-focused sandbox to tinker with.

This could be perfect for my next one-shot campaign! A tense, claustrophobic scenario with the Alien lurking in the shadows. Building suspense and dread is what I love most about RPGs. Maybe a crew trapped on a derelict space station, facing impossible choices. This sale is a great excuse to experiment with a horror atmosphere.
