“Snow White’s Revenge” (aka “Scandal”) is Korean drama series released in 2024, has 100 episodes, and can be categorized as Soap Opera, Romance, Thriller and Suspense, Crime and Mystery. ♦ My Stepmom is the Worse Stepmom EVER! In “Snow White’s Revenge”, Baek Seol-A‘s mother died and she is still very young. All of her friends at school are picked up by their mothers. She wishes her father would remarry so she can have a mother too. Finally, her father remarries a woman named Moon Jung-In. Baek Seol-A is so excited and she just has to brag to her friends at school. She says she’s like Snow White and she has a very nice stepmother. Her friends tell her she is mistaken. Snow White had a wicked stepmother. Baek Seol-A gets angry and clinches her fist at them. They scratch their heads not understanding why she’s so angry. They are pretty sure that Snow White had a wicked stepmother. (???) It wasn’t very long before bad things started happening in what

Ooh, a modern take on Snow White? That's interesting! I haven't gotten into K-dramas yet, but this sounds like something I could get behind. Is it super cheesy or is the acting decent? 100 episodes seem like a lot, but if it's addictive like the article says, maybe it's worth checking out. Does anyone recommend starting with shorter K-dramas first to ease into it?

Seriously, who needs a prince charming these days? Give me a strong female lead fighting for herself and taking down a wicked stepmother – now that's a story I can get behind. Maybe K-dramas are onto something with this modern twist on a classic tale. 100 episodes might seem daunting, but hey, at least it's a full story, not some chopped-up mess trying to appease everyone. Anyone else ditching Hollywood for a Korean drama marathon?

Another soap opera with a predictable plot? Yeah, I'll probably pass. I miss the days of those historical dramas with rich costumes and longer episodes that actually developed the characters. Give me something with more substance and less filler. Maybe someone can convince me this "Snow White's Revenge" is different, but I'm not holding my breath.

Okay, amnesia and revenge? Sounds intense, but where's the romance? The article mentions a childhood sweetheart, so I'm hoping for some serious sparks flying between the leads. Will they overcome all the obstacles and find their happily ever after? That's what I live for in a good K-drama!

Yeah, it is a modern take on Snow White. People seem to be very much into rewriting fairy tales these days. I'm OK with that.

When I first started watching Kdramas, I started with a movie. Then I watched a historical Kdrama with about 20 episodes. Then a much longer Kdrama with 60 episodes. I'm sure every Kdrama addict has a different story about how they started. LOL.

You know what? I thought the same thing. Even as a young girl reading Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, and Snow White, I thought: Why always a Prince Charming to come to their rescue? 3 different fairy tales and they all had a Prince Charming. Back then, storytellers were clearly not thinking outside of the box. LOL.

Intriguing concept, but with my schedule, I don't have time for a 100-episode commitment.
I understand. But the episodes are short so I can watch one during my lunch break every day. The storyline is interesting but the female lead comes across as kind of wimpy and weak. To me that's annoying. If I were the scriptwriter I would have made her character much stronger.
