As a parent, I’m seriously questioning whether Dear Santa is appropriate for kids. The whole premise of making deals with Satan, even in a comedic setting, just doesn’t sit right with me. I know it’s supposed to be a fun family film, but I’m not sure a story about a demon granting wishes is something I want my child to be watching. The Farrelly brothers’ style of humor is just too much for me, especially when it involves spiritual themes. I understand that it’s meant to be a comedy, but this one crosses a line, in my opinion. Definitely not something I would recommend for young audiences.
