Nintendo And Hasbro Enter Multi-Year Partnership To Make Zelda Toys

This is such an exciting partnership! The Legend of Zelda has such a rich universe and incredible characters, so I can't wait to see the designs Hasbro comes up with. I hope they include some classic characters like Link and Zelda, but I'd love to see some of the side characters get their time to shine too, like Midna or even the King of Red Lions!

Toy collectors and fans alike are going to eat this up. Do you think they'll also produce accessories from the games, like the Master Sword or the Hylian Shield? That would be pretty epic!

Honestly, Zelda has been around for so long that I'm surprised this partnership didn't happen years ago. Nintendo has plenty of popular characters, but Zelda always felt like it could have a much bigger toy line. There are so many enemies, weapons, and costumes they could turn into collectibles. Even people who don't collect figures might buy a Master Sword or Hylian Shield to display at home. I just hope Hasbro gives the line enough attention instead of stopping after a couple of releases.

I'm more interested in the accessories than the figures. Give me a Master Sword with lights and sounds, a Hylian Shield, or even a treasure chest that opens with the classic sound effect. Those are the kinds of things I would actually buy. The figures are nice, but Zelda has so many memorable items that they could make an entire product line around them.

If these are movie versions first, I think that's completely fine. The movie needs promotion, and toys are part of that. Later they can release game versions from Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom, Ocarina of Time, and the older games. There are enough designs to keep collectors busy for years. I'm mostly waiting to see how good the face sculpts are because that's usually where action figures succeed or fail.
