LOL I was so pumped when Alex dropped with that Kenny Omega motion capture and the two themes. Then I hit the arcade mode and saw the married to Patricia thing plus the cousin line and I just sat there staring at the screen. It felt super weird after all these years thinking they were like brother and sister. Glad Capcom is patching the dialogue though, at least they listen to fans on this one.

Alex and Patricia growing up together under Tom made them feel like family. Making them married now plus adding that blood relation just feels off. The babysitting picture next to the wedding one makes it even stranger. Good they are fixing the cousin part with a patch but the marriage still bothers me a bit.

This whole Alex storyline mess is funny in a bad way. I loved his return at first but the plot twist turned him into Alabamex memes everywhere. The Game of Thrones jokes are nonstop. Capcom actually making a story patch for dialogue is wild. Hope the fix makes his backstory clean again so we can just enjoy the fighting without the drama.

Turning childhood friends into husband and wife plus adding family blood feels wrong to a lot of people. The memes about Alabama and Westeros are everywhere now. The story patch is a good move by Capcom. Let's see if it fixes how players feel about the character.

I cannot stop laughing at this Alex situation. Fans waited years for his return and Capcom gave us wrestling moves and rock music. But the story says he married the girl he babysat as a kid and they have some family blood link. The memes came faster than his running punch. "Welcome to Westeros" comments everywhere. Making a special story patch for family drama is the funniest thing in fighting games this year. I am still playing him but the lore is cooked.

I loved Alex coming back until the story mode ruined the mood. They turned his childhood friend into his wife and added a blood relation on top. The picture of seven-year-old Alex babysitting baby Patricia next to their wedding picture is just wrong timing. Internet went crazy with Alabama jokes immediately. Capcom is dropping a dialogue patch like it's a balance update. Never thought I would see a family tree nerf in Street Fighter.

This simple patch is not going to fix the negative publicity this stupid story caused.
