A Fourth Season Of The Orville Is More Likely Than You Think

Seth MacFarlane’s The Orville, arguably the most brilliant thing he ever made, started its life as a network show with a regular schedule before becoming a streaming show…with a streaming […]

I couldn't agree more! "The Orville" has truly carved out its niche in the sci-fi genre, balancing humor and heartfelt storytelling in a way that feels both fresh and nostalgic. It’s interesting to see how it transitioned from network TV to streaming, which has really allowed it to explore deeper narratives without the constraints of traditional episodic formats.

Seth MacFarlane's passion for the genre definitely shines through in the show. I’d love to see a fourth season – there’s so much potential for character development and world-building, especially with the way they’ve set up the arcs in the past seasons. Plus, who doesn’t want more of that great ensemble cast? What did you think of the last season?

Seth admitting he's the holdup is actually refreshing. Most creators would blame the studio or something. At least he's honest. The scripts exist, that's the main thing. Season 3 was worth the wait, so I'll be patient again. Just hope they don't drag it out until the cast gets too old or something.

Finally some good news. I've been waiting forever for more Orville. Seth saying the scripts are already done is huge. That means once he clears his schedule, they can just start shooting. No waiting around for writers or anything. I don't care if it takes another year or two, as long as it actually happens. This show deserves to finish its story properly.

Adrianne Palicki basically said the long gaps were a problem back in 2023, and nothing's changed. Seth wants to do everything himself, which is cool for quality but terrible for schedules. If they can't figure out a way to make it work with the actors, this might stay "planned" forever. I'm not holding my breath anymore.

Yes! Season 4 is real. Scripts finished, Seth confirmed it. People were acting like the show was canceled, but no, it's just slow because he has other projects. That's how it goes with passion projects. I'll take quality over rushed episodes any day. Can't wait to see what he does next with the crew.

Honestly, I'm skeptical. He said the same kind of thing before season 3, and it still took forever. Adrianne already walked away once because of the uncertainty. If they can't lock in dates soon, good chance some cast members move on permanently. Love the show, but this feels like classic development hell.

Great update. Knowing the full season is scripted changes everything. No more wondering if they'll even continue the story. Seth just needs to block out the year and make it happen. The wait sucks, but at least we know it's coming eventually. This series is way better than most Trek stuff lately anyway.

Seth owning that he's the reason for the delay is pretty ballsy. Most people would dodge that question. But yeah, if he's juggling Family Guy and other stuff, it makes sense. Still, the fans have been loyal through two huge gaps already. One more won't kill us. Just don't cancel it quietly, please.

Cool, but I'll believe it when cameras roll. Scripts being done is nice, but we've seen plenty of finished scripts sit on shelves forever. Palicki's comments from a couple years ago still worry me. Schedules don't magically align just because he wants them to. Fingers crossed though, because I miss this crew.
