We just got two Nintendo Directs within a short span of time: one for third parties, which ran last week, and one for indies, which ran early this morning. The one everybody’s been waiting for hasn’t really happened: details on what, exactly, Nintendo has specifically planned for 2025 beyond what’s been revealed. You won’t find those answers here, but the Indie World Showcase had a few surprises of its own. The biggest was the sudden drop of UFO 50 on Switch, which Nintendo oddly glossed over, shoving it to part of a montage at the end of Indie World. It did get its own full trailer on Nintendo’s YouTube account though. If you don’t know about this, it’s hard to describe. It isn’t just one game, but as many as the title suggests and possibly more. Yacht Club Games, the creators of Shovel Knight, are about to release their massively hyped follow-up, Mina the Hollower…which you can actually explore today! A demo was dropped shortly after the Indie World aired. There will be both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 versions.
