Tron: Ares – The Long-Awaited Return to the Grid Tron: Ares marks the third chapter in the iconic Tron series, and it’s hard to believe that fans are finally getting a new installment after such a lengthy wait. One defining feature of this franchise is the long gaps between films.Fans of the original 1982 Tron had to endure an incredible 28-year wait before Tron: Legacy was released in 2010. And now, after another 15 years, the next film is almost here: Tron: Ares, set for release on October 10, 2025. Directed by Joachim Rønning, with a screenplay by Jesse Wigutow, Jack Thorne, and Tron creator Steven Lisberger, this latest film takes the familiar connection between humans and the digital world to new heights—especially with the collision of these two realms. Plot Overview At the heart of the story is Ares, a highly advanced program that is sent from the digital world to the real world on a crucial mission. For the first time, the action isn’t confined to the Grid—it’s breaking into our reality. Eve Kim (played by Greta Lee) is an ordinary woman living in the real world, until the collapse of worlds thrusts her into a chaotic battle […]

Wow, it's amazing that after all these years, we're getting another Tron movie. The wait has been long, but it sounds like "Tron: Ares" is going to be worth it. I love how they're taking the concept of the Grid into the real world. It’s exciting to think about how the digital world will interact with ours. Ares sounds like a really interesting character, especially with Jared Leto playing him. I’m also glad to see Jeff Bridges returning as Kevin Flynn. He’s iconic in that role. I have high hopes for the movie, but I hope it doesn’t feel like they’re just using nostalgia to get us excited. Still, the trailer gives me chills!

I’m really excited about "Tron: Ares"! The idea of the Grid merging with the real world is so creative. I’ve always liked the original Tron movies because of how they explored the digital world, and now we’re going to see it collide with reality? That’s huge! Plus, Greta Lee as Eve Kim sounds like an awesome choice. She’s such a talented actress. I’m curious to see how the film will balance action with the deeper themes of digital vs. real life. Hopefully, it does justice to the original and brings something fresh to the table.

I don’t know how I feel about the whole idea of merging the real world with the Grid. It just seems like a cheap way to make the story more "exciting." The first two Tron films were great because they kept things contained in their own digital world. Now, we’re going to have police chases and laser blasts in the streets? It’s like they’re trying too hard to be flashy and modern, and I’m not sure that’s the right direction for the series. I’ll probably watch it because of the nostalgia, but I’m not expecting much from it.

The whole concept of digital elements spilling into the real world is a fascinating one. The effects could be amazing, especially if they use cutting-edge CGI to make the Grid’s transformation feel seamless. Also, the idea that the Grid could change its colors to black and red gives off a really ominous vibe. It’s interesting how the film might explore the idea of control in both the real world and the digital one. As a fan of tech and digital worlds, I’m definitely intrigued to see how they handle these themes. I just hope the movie doesn’t focus too much on action and keeps the intellectual depth that Tron is known for.

I’m honestly just here for the action. The trailer looks pretty cool, and Jared Leto as Ares seems like a solid casting choice. I’m not a huge fan of the first two movies, but this one looks like it’ll be a fun watch. I don’t need it to be super deep or anything. As long as it’s entertaining and has some cool visuals, I’ll be happy. The idea of the Grid coming into the real world definitely makes things more exciting. I’m looking forward to seeing how they pull that off.
