Fireshine Games and Dino Rocket have announced their monster collecting game, Kādomon: Hyper Auto Battlers, has officially launched into 1.0 after months in Early Access. Odds are you know what to expect from something with “mon” in the title. You will be hunting, catching and training dozens of monsters, while collecting and storing hundreds more, to be sure. There’s even a thing called a “Kadodex.” But this is a mons game that adds roguelike elements and randomly generated environments. The hunt is different every time, and with over 200 Kādomon to encounter, you won’t reach the end anytime soon. IF you already have the Early Access version, Kādomon Version 1.0 adds a higher level cap for Kādos, a new Ascension Mode that rewards mastery and offers a new layer of replayability, new Victory Ribbons, and an all-new Kādo Guide that serves as a hub of information on Kādomon, player progression and assembling the most powerful team. “It’s been an incredible journey creating Kādomon: Hyper Auto Battlers as my first independent game,” said Patrick Sigley of Dino Rocket. “I’ve had the support from some amazing people to bring the world of Kādomon to life, and now I can’t wait to share […]

I got the game during the sale and it’s honestly pretty fun. I don’t play a lot of monster games, but this one is easy to understand. I just make a team and watch them fight. Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose, but it’s quick so I don’t get bored. I haven’t tried the new Ascension Mode yet. I still need to figure out what all the Kādomon do. The designs are cute. I like the little blue fire one. I forgot its name. I think the guide helps a lot. Without it, I wouldn’t know how to build a strong team. For $5, this is worth it for sure. I’m not a hardcore gamer, just someone who plays after work. This game is perfect for that. I hope they add more monsters in the future.

From a mechanics perspective, Kādomon is quite interesting. The integration of roguelike progression with auto battling creates a loop that feels both fresh and accessible. I tested several early builds during the Early Access phase, and the improvements in 1.0 are clear. The UI is more responsive, and the team synergy effects feel more balanced now. Ascension Mode is well-designed. It offers a strong challenge without being unfair, and the higher level cap gives players more flexibility in team-building. The Kādo Guide is a great addition. It reduces the need for outside wikis and encourages experimentation. It’s also good that the developer focused on clarity, which is important for casual players. I personally like the way random environments influence the run—terrain types and weather sometimes change how effective your team is. This promotes more thoughtful planning. I can see this game being useful as a learning tool for players who want to understand synergy in auto battlers. For an indie release, the polish is impressive. I hope more indie developers take notes from how Kādomon handled Early Access feedback.

I don’t know. I tried it for about an hour, and I’m not sure it’s for me. The idea is cool, but I don’t feel very connected to the monsters yet. Maybe I need to play more. I thought there would be more story, but it’s more about the gameplay loops. I do like the art style. The monsters are well-designed. I think if you’re really into strategy and trying different team setups, you’ll like it. But if you want an adventure game with characters and dialogue, it might not be what you expect. I’ll try it again later since I already bought it on sale. Maybe it grows on me.

I’m really enjoying this game so far. I love collecting things, and Kādomon gives me that feeling every time I discover a new monster. Some of them are so weird in a good way. I just found a bug-type that turns into a crystal shape when it evolves. That was awesome. I’m trying to complete the Kadodex, but it’s tough since everything changes each run. That’s also what keeps me playing. You never get the same experience twice. I’m also happy with the new level cap. It lets me evolve my favorite ones to higher stages. I also like how the battles are automatic, but still need strategy. I spend a lot of time trying different team builds. The Kādo Guide helps a lot. I didn’t understand some of the mechanics before, but now I feel more in control. The price is super fair, too. I’ve paid more for games that gave me way less. I hope they keep adding more content. Maybe some rare shiny Kādomon or a trading system? Even if they don’t, I think it’s already a solid game. I’ll probably be playing it for a long time, especially when I just want to relax and catch stuff. Great job to the dev team.
