Ooh, a historical drama set in the Joseon era? Sign me up! It's always fascinating to see how they portray daily life and social structures in those times. This "Check in Hanyang" sounds like it might delve into the lives of both nobility and commoners, which is cool. I wonder how accurate the inn setting is. Did they really have such big, fancy inns back then? The whole secret mission with the golden key sounds like there might be some political intrigue too. That's always a plus for me. I see the king and the innkeeper have some kind of past connection – that could get messy! The only downside is the comparison to "The Secret Romantic Guesthouse." I haven't seen that one, but I hope "Check in Hanyang" can stand on its own merits. Definitely checking out the review on Dramabeans though, those guys are usually spot on.

Okay, a secret romance between a prince and a woman disguised as a man? "Check in Hanyang" is basically ticking all my boxes! I love that kind of forbidden love trope. Is it enemies to lovers too, since they start out not being friends? That just adds to the tension. Plus, there might be other romances brewing with the other apprentices? I'm a sucker for a good ensemble cast with multiple love stories. The high ratings from Viki viewers also make me optimistic. They tend to have good taste when it comes to cute and fluffy romances. I don't mind a bit of predictability if the characters are charming and the story is sweet. Maybe it's not the most groundbreaking plot, but sometimes you just want a feel-good show to relax with. Sounds like "Check in Hanyang" fits the bill perfectly!

The whole secret identity and hidden agendas thing feels a bit overused. Plus, the comparison to "The Secret Romantic Guesthouse" doesn't inspire confidence. I don't want to watch something that feels like a rehash of another show. Maybe the execution is better here, but I'm cautious. The multiple love interests also make me a bit nervous

I don't mind similarities to other dramas if the story is engaging and the characters are well-developed. Being a Viki subscriber, I love that they're putting out more original content. Hopefully, it keeps getting better and better. I wonder if the four apprentices will become a close-knit friend group as they work together. That kind of found-family dynamic is always heartwarming. The fact that they all have their own reasons for wanting to learn the inn business adds another layer to the story. Maybe they'll even use their skills to help each other out in their personal quests.

I'm always interested in the costumes in historical dramas, and "Check in Hanyang" sounds like it will deliver! I wonder what kind of hanboks they'll be wearing. Will they be super elaborate and colorful, or more simple and practical for the inn setting? I hope they pay attention to the details, like the hair accessories and the different fabrics. It's always fun to see how fashion reflects the social status and personalities of the characters.

An inn during the Joseon era? I bet the food in "Check in Hanyang" will be amazing! I'm always fascinated by historical cuisine, and I hope this drama showcases some traditional Korean dishes. I wonder if they'll show the characters preparing the food as well. It would be cool to see the cooking techniques and ingredients they used back then. I imagine there will be lots of rice, kimchi, and maybe some grilled meats. Since it's an inn, they probably serve a variety of dishes to cater to different tastes. I'm also curious about the dining etiquette of the time. Did people eat with chopsticks or spoons? Were there specific rules about how to serve and present food? I think the food can be a great way to learn more about the culture and lifestyle of a particular period. I'll be looking out for the food scenes when I watch this drama. It might even inspire me to try some new Korean recipes!

I'm excited to see Bae In-hyuk in another drama! I really liked him in "The Story Of Park’s Marriage Contract" and "Under The Queen’s Umbrella." He always brings a lot of charisma to his roles. It's interesting to see him in a historical setting again. I think he has a good presence for these kinds of roles. I'm also familiar with Kim Ji-Eun from "One Dollar Lawyer" and "The Veil." She's a very versatile actress. I'm curious to see how she portrays a character who is disguising herself as a man. It's a challenging role, and I think she'll do a great job.

I don't know how accurate (??) this historical drama is. I noticed they went to great lengths to show that the Europeans or Westerners were already influencing the Joseon culture. For example, there was a wedding that was traditional. However, the music was provided by Europeans. One guy was playing the piano and a woman was singing. It was not traditional Joeson music. I suppose if you were very wealthy you could afford that. The Inn as known for making wishes and dreams come true if you paid them. It makes me wonder how much business the Joseon merchants did with non-Asian merchants.
