The Game Awards seems to generate more complaints every year, but it’s not the only game in town….as long as the town we’re talking about is New York City. The Big Apple has its own branded video game award ceremony, the New York Game Awards, and has kept it going for the last thirteen years. 2025 will be the fourteenth time, and the New York Videogame Critics Circle (the people behind the whole thing) have just announced the date and who’s hosting. It's great to see that the New York Game Awards is still going strong. I'm always rooting for the indie devs. I hope they'll recognize some of the amazing indie games that came out this year. It would be awesome to see a small studio get some recognition for their hard work.

I'm excited to see who wins. Maybe my game will get nominated someday. It would be a dream come true.

I'm not really into award shows, but I might tune in to this one. I'm curious to see what games are nominated. I'm hoping for a mix of AAA and indie games. I'm also excited to see what Reggie Fils-Aime has to say. He's always entertaining

I'm excited to see what games are nominated for Best Art Direction. I'm a big fan of beautiful game art. I love collecting limited edition games and art books. I hope they announce some cool collector's editions for upcoming games.
