In “Paddington 3 In Peru”, Paddington is off on a new adventure. This wonderful children’s film has a dual release schedule: it will debut in the UK on November 8, 2024 and in the USA on January 17, 2025. Paddington Bear was first introduced to fans via Michael Bond’s children’s books and then via Paul King’s Paddington films. The first book, “A Bear Called Paddington”, was published in 1958, and to date, there are over 150 titles in various formats. Michael Bond says that on Christmas Eve in 1956, he bought his wife a small toy bear and named it Paddington. They lived near Paddington Station in London. He initially wrote stories about “a bear” just for fun but then sent them to his agent, who in turn, sent them to a publisher who commissioned an illustrator, and on on 13th October 1958, the very first book in the Paddington series was published. Who knew a little toy bear would bring him fame and fortune? Paul King, a British writer and director, enjoyed Paddington’s gentle nature and humor and wanted to bring the bear to life.
