I suppose we’ve come to the point where we can make a Superbad-like party comedy set close to the time when Superbad was actually made. Y2K, from A24, is a new movie drenched in late 90s nostalgia about two boys who crash a rager. It's funny to think about how scared we were about the Y2K bug. I remember stocking up on canned goods and batteries. It's good to see that it's being made into a movie. Maybe it'll help people understand what it was like to live through that time.
