Wait, so you're telling me this is the new drama of the year? A celebrity waking up and realizing it's 2025 after thinking it’s still 1999? That sounds like a wild ride! I mean, can you imagine the culture shock? 😂

But also, is it actually good or are we just here for the nostalgia vibes? I need to know if it’s worth my time before I dive in and end up binge-watching 12 episodes in one sitting. Anyone else feeling skeptical or are y’all already hyped?

I’m loving the weirdness of My Troublesome Star so far. The whole retrograde amnesia thing makes for a strange but entertaining journey. I actually liked how it didn’t go down the typical “oh, I’m so sad about my lost fame” route. It’s more about rediscovering yourself in a world that doesn’t care about you anymore. Sure, it’s not perfect, but I can get behind the idea of a character trying to reinvent herself at age 50. Definitely an interesting twist on the typical “celebrity comeback” story.

The mystery of what happened to Im Se-Ra and why no one remembers her is enough to keep me interested. The whole “who am I now” angle feels super relatable, even if you’re not a celebrity. It’s not perfect, though. The romance is there, but it feels a bit forced at times. Still, I can’t stop watching. There’s something really compelling about watching her struggle to reclaim her place in the world.

Okay, I’ll admit, I’m here for the nostalgia factor. The idea of waking up from a car accident and realizing you’ve missed a whole era of your life is super relatable, especially when you’re forced to confront how much has changed. Uhm Jung-Hwa nails the confusion and determination of her character. That said, the whole “amnesia” thing can feel a little overdone in K-dramas, and I wish they’d spent more time exploring the emotional side rather than rushing through the plot. Still, I’ll keep watching because I like the direction they’re going in.

It’s refreshing to see a K-drama like My Troublesome Star tackle memory loss in a way that isn’t just about recovering lost love. The protagonist’s struggle to find her place in a changed world, both personally and professionally, is something that feels very real. I liked the way the show dives into how fame fades and how time can erase even the most well-known faces. The mystery aspect also keeps things interesting, though the pacing could have been tighter. Still, if you're into stories about rediscovery, this is a good pick.
